Challenge yourself and raise more than a sweat!
Join Very Special Kids on our inaugural road ride through the glorious Mornington Peninsula. On Friday 28 February 2025, you’ll ride 120 kilometres, challenging yourself on the hills and enjoying the water views. With every pedal of your bike, you’ll be part of something really special, as together you raise $200,000 in funds for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
What you need to know
Date: Friday 28 February 2025
Time: Depart Melbourne at 6am (Aquatic Drive, Albert Park)
Location: Albert Park to Sorrento via Red Hill
Register by: Friday 31 January 2025
Registration fee: $500, which provides you with:
Exclusive road ride through stunning vistas
Delicious celebratory meal in Sorrento
Refreshments, hydration and snacks throughout the day
Very Special Ride cycling jersey, socks and bottle
Full on-road support including mechanical, medical, first aid, and safety and traffic management
Return coach to Melbourne at the end of the day

Fundraising goal: $2,000 per person, which helps provide holistic paediatric palliative care to seriously ill children and young people, and tailored support for their families.
Very Special Kids is the only children’s hospice in Victoria and provides free of charge respite care and bereavement support to families across Victoria every year. No child should have to go through their journey alone. By taking on the Very Special Ride, you will help provide seriously sick children and their families with the care and support they need.

What happens once you sign up
When your registration has been paid, you’ll receive a link to your individual fundraising page.
Next you should update it with your own photo and a blurb about why you’re raising funds for Very Special Kids and taking part in the ride!

Share your page to your socials or via email to encourage donations. And you’re off!
We’ll also send you social media graphics, an email signature, and information you can share with your friends, family and colleagues.

We provide holistic paediatric palliative care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions as well as tailored support for their families – through life, death and bereavement.
We care for families at Very Special Kids House, Victoria’s only children’s hospice, and provide statewide support, including in the Mornington Peninsula and surrounding regions. No child should have to go through their journey alone.
